This photograph was taken from the south-eastern end of the market, and shows the buildings on its north side - St. Edward's church, the Shopping Hall, a three-storey building (soon to be demolished to build an extension to the Shopping Hall), and the Pig-in-Pound public house (possibly closed by this time).
