The Romford Football Club float heads out of Market Place into Main Road in the Carnival parade, June 1964.1

The photograph was taken from the eastern end of the market, across from the Laurie Hall. On the left are the trees of Laurie Square, whilst on the far right part of the old library can be seen.

The banner on the rear of the float reads:
