"The party was given by the Romford police.  My uncle, (Constable) Edwin J. Woodards (known as Jack) is Father Christmas.  I am the little girl on the floor in front with the white frilly dress on.  My cousin Edwin Woodards is in the picture,1 as is his mother, my aunt, Grace Wright Woodards.2  Her mother worked at the Romford Brewery.  Maybe other people in Romford can find themselves in this picture?"  (If so, please do get in touch.)
