"The bride walking to church is my aunt, Grace Wright, daughter of Grace Ottley and Charles William Wright. Her father accompanies her. The wedding was probably in 1932.
"My aunt married Edwin Joseph Woodards, who originally came from Guildford, Surrey. He was a police officer in the Essex Constabulary located in Romford.
"My aunt grew up on Waterloo Road and my grandmother, her mother, worked at the brewery."
The wedding probably took place at St. Andrew's church. In the background the houses would be those lining Queen Street and St. Andrew's Road, with what must be the brewery chimney behind them. The bus, which looks as if it is about to follow the bride into the church, would be turning down the southern section of Queen Street, to the right of the church.
