Romford Now & Then Glimpses of the Past in the Present

From Den Pascoe, Toronto, Canada:

One of my ancestors was a butcher in Romford in the 1800's (Thomas Pratt COLLIER b. 1801) and married the daughter of another butcher (Sarah AXON).  His place of business was on the Market Square, and I had the honour and pleasure of standing there a couple of years ago, although I understand that all is changed now.  The AXON butcher shop was on a side street, apparently.

My question is this: do you know of any living descendants of the COLLIER or AXON butchers, or do you remember such folk in bygone days?  I understand both names are somewhat unusual in Romford.  Thanks.
