My great grandmother's sister died in Romford.  Her name was Emily CRACKNELL and she died at 1 Oldchurch Road, Romford in 1932.  She was aged 79.  She originated from Standon in Herts.  Her maiden name was DAY and she had a daughter, Alice Margaret DAY.  Emily then married Arthur CRACKNELL in Walthamstow in 1883.  He was actually from Linton in Cambs but was lodging with his uncle in Walthamstow.  Where Emily and Arthur went after 1883 I have no idea but I caught up with Emily in Romford where she died.  She, according to her death certificate, lived at Netteswell, Harlow, so may well have been visiting a relative when she died.  It may have been Alice, her daughter, who had married George William JENKINS or maybe another child from her marriage.  I would be interested to hear whether 1 Oldchurch Road is still there,¹ and if there are any relatives in the area.  Thanks.
