Romford Now & Then Glimpses of the Past in the Present

I'm looking for Richard Digby STEPHENS of Romford, died before 1877.  Occupation unknown.  Wife supposedly Catherine HULL.  Daughter Julia Digby STEPHENS born c1824 London.  Son Richard Digby STEPHENS jnr, born c1836 Liverpool.  Richard jnr was a railway civil engineer, working in Ireland and possibly England before coming to Australia in 1864.

The significance of Digby as a middle name is unknown.  I know there are DIGBY families in Romford but so far I have been unable to find a connection with STEPHENS.   I also know that Sir Richard Digby NEAVE owned Dagnams around this time, but don't know if the coincidence of name is anything more than that.

Have been looking for this family for over 15 years now and would appreciate any clue, no matter how small.  Thank you.
