Romford Now & Then Glimpses of the Past in the Present

I am researching AYLETT families, and these seem to go all the way back to the 1640s at least in Romford.  I suspect that the 17th-18thC ones may have been quite prosperous, though by the 19thC these seem to have been replaced by families with much humbler standing.  I would be very grateful for any information - especially a long series of George Ayletts from the mid 17thC and the evocatively named Meliora Aylett born 1700.
