My grandfather George William DURBRIDGE was born in Shoreditch in 1894, and moved to Romford sometime after. He was living there before moving to S.W. Wales in 1922 when he married Elizabeth PHILLIPS there.
I'd be interested in hearing of any Durbridge associations with Romford. My father Denzil Durbridge visited there after the war to see cousins, one of whom may have been Vera.
