I have traced my 4 x great aunt and her family moving from Suffolk to Romford in the 1870's.

George DAY born 1853 Cornard Suffolk, in 1901 Brewers Lab at Romford John DAY born 1870 Cornard Suffolk, in 1901 Railway Clerk at Romford Arthur DAY born 1850 Cornard Suffolk, in 1901 Brewery Lab at Romford

Arthur DAY's sons were :-

George DAY born 1879 Romford, 1901 Railway Porter at Romford Frederick DAY born 1881 Romford, 1901 Brewers Labourer at Romford Harry DAY born 1874 Cornard Suffolk, 1901 Labourer at Romford

George DAY born 1879 married Caroline Agnes BAINBRIDGE in 1900 at Romford, they lived at 40 George Street circa 1941.

Harry DAY born 1874 married Jane ? and had at least two children, who included Eva DAY born 1896 Romford, Florence Esther DAY born 1900 Romford.

Frederick John DAY born 1881 Romford, died at Gallipoli 6th Aug 1915, serving with 1st Battalion Essex Regiment [see his entry in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Debt of Honour Register].

George DAY born 1853 married Elizabeth BROWN at Great Cornard, Suffolk, in 1879, they lived at 11 Richmond Road, Romford, they had the following children born at Romford, Margaret DAY 1882, George 1884, James 1886, Ellen 1889, Laura 1891, Ethel 1892, Maurice 1895-1918, Maud Olive 1895.

Maurice DAY MM. born 1895, Lance Corporal 50354, 11th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, died 8th Jul 1918 on the Somme.

George DAY born 1884 married Lily TAYLOR at Romford in 1912.

John Edward DAY born 1870 married Eliza Anne HEAVEY, they lived at 9 King Edward Road, Romford, they had at least the following children, Edith Hilda DAY born 1892 Romford she married Herbert William CLIFFE in 1915 at Romford. Harold Thomas DAY born 1893 Romford.

Sophia DAY born 1848 married Thomas PYE in 1868 they lived at 60 George Street, Romford, they had at least two children who were Rosina Sarah PYE born 1872, and William Henry PYE born 1874 Romford. Rosina PYE married George Thomas SAITCH in 1888 and were living with their children in West Ham in the 1901 census, William Henry PYE married Amy SAITCH in 1903 at Romford, they lived at 19 Shaftesbury Road, Romford circa 1945.

I would be very interested in any information relating to the above people and there descendants as I have yet to trace a living descendant of any of the above people.
