FAQ | Who runs Romford Now & Then?

Romford Now & Then is run solely by me, Phil Steer, as a non-commercial, leisure time project.

The site has no formal link with Havering council, nor with any company, organisation, society, or other body (although I am a member of both the Romford & District Historical Society and the Friends of Havering Museum).

I am not a native Romfordian, having moved to the area in 1986, aged 21. Thus my interest in Romford's heritage stems in part from not knowing, and wanting to find out more.

I'm married with 3 children, work as a software developer, and am member of the Good Shepherd church in Collier Row.
