FAQ: What is the aim of Romford Now & Then?

The aim of Romford Now & Then is to advance Romford's heritage and so raise civic pride.

By advance I mean to progress, to develop, to enhance, to forward, to further, to promote; by heritage I mean anything that the town inherits from preceding generations (buildings, landscapes, associations, customs, memories, etc.). The greater our awareness of Romford's past, the greater our pride in the present.

Although primarily concerned with Romford's heritage, the site also includes much about the modern day town; it's part of the continuing story of Romford, reflecting its past and shaping its future.
