This panorama was shows the The Liberty shopping centre in August 2000.
You start by looking towards Stewards Walk (behind the telephone kiosks), which leads into South Street and emerges opposite Brannigans (formerly the old post office).
Turning to your right you are now looking down The Liberty, which also leads into South Street, emerging further north, just above Marks & Spencer.
Continuing round to the right you next look down Swan Walk into Market Place, with Debenhams (formerly Stones) on the right hand side.
Turning to the right again you are now looking along The Liberty towards Mercury Gardens, with Mercury House council offices towering above you.
Then it's round past BHS and WHSmith, with Lockwood Walk (behind the telephone kiosks) leading away to the left into Western Road, before finally returning back to where you started.

You might like to step back in time to see a view of the shopping centre in about 1970.
