This panorama was taken about half-way along Market Place in March 2002.

You start by looking towards the north-east corner of the market.  On the corner is Lloyds TSB bank.  The main building in view is St. Edward's church, with Church House to it's right.  Next, on the corner of Market Link, is the the Uppercut hair salon.   (Market Link provides access to the market from the eastern section of St. Edward's Way).

On the opposite corner of Market Link is T J Hughes (formerly C & A).  Then comes the Rumford Shopping Hall, Rumford Chambers (a later extension), and Sadies Fashions (now closed, but originally the Pig in Pound public house).  Beyond, on the other side of St Edwards Way, is the Central Library.

Turning to look towards the south-eastern corner of the market the view is dominated by Debenhams.  To its left is the Bull public house, and to its right Swan Walk, leading into The Liberty shopping centre.
