Coronation Gardens, sometime in the 1960s.1 The view is from the far side of the gardens, looking towards Main Road, with Romford Baptist Church just visible through the trees. The scene changed in 1970 when the War Memorial was placed in the middle of the gardens, having been moved from Laurie Square.
