Romford Now & Then Glimpses of the Past in the Present

The stone now lies alongside Church Path, which runs between the Wykeham Hall (to the left) and St. Edward's church (to the right). Previously it had been situated on the other side of Church Path, in an area used for car parking. However, the inscription on the stone states that the grave itself was 15½ feet from the east wall of the church, which suggests that it may well now lie beneath the Wykeham Hall.
