BORN 26TH OCTOBER 1755.
DIED 11TH JANUARY 1823.

HIS FATHER AND MOTHER
LIE BURIED IN THE
CHURCHYARD AT CHESHUNT

JANE MOWATT HIS WIFE 25 AND WIDOW 44 Y[EARS]
DIED 31 MAY 1867 AGED 90
HER GRAVE 17 1/2 FEET FROM NORTH WALL IN SQUAR[E]
OF KENSAL GREEN CEMETERY, HARROW ROAD IS NO. 20[...]
UNDER A LIKE GRANITE SLAB RECORDING ALSO THE PRE-DEC[EASED]
OF SIX OF THEIR NINE CHILDREN.

The gravestone, which lies in St. Edward's churchyard, is no longer sited at the spot identified by the inscription.
