The view across the car park in Angel Way from the rear of High Street in 1969.1

The building to the left of the car park is part of Trinity Methodist church, whilst that to the right is the sorting office.

Beyond the car park it looks as though the new ring-road is being built across the end of Linden Street.

A multi-storey car park was later built on this site.
