Romford Now & Then Glimpses of the Past in the Present

This photograph shows No. 32 Birch Road in 1936.  It was kindly provided by William (Bill) DALE, whose mother, father, and aunt Veronica are seen standing in front of the house.  He recalls that at the time No. 30 next door was occupied by the Dorrington family.  "They had three children: Derek, the oldest, then Angie, and lastly Hazel, who was one day younger than me."
