Romford Now & Then   Glimpses of the Past in the Present

This area of open ground, to the west of North Street, was once the site of Romford Football Club.  The ground was described as "potentially the finest in amateur football" and the pitch as "almost perfect"1.  Hard to believe looking at the scene today!
