Looking up High Street from the west, sometime around 1905.

The first building on the left may be the offices of the Romford Recorder.¹ A few doors down comes Freeman, Hardy & Willis, and a little further on is a business advertising 'Motors'.

On the other side of the road is the brewery frontage, and beyond it, the White Hart Inn.
