In the background we can see a section of the south side of Market Place, opposite the church. To the left of the picture (but out of shot) would be the King's Head inn. Next to that, the first building we can see was once Macarthy's the chemists2, but at the time of this photograph was possibly a dress shop. Then comes an alleyway, and next to that Cramphorn Ltd., a feed merchant. On the right of the picture is James Walker, jewellers, and on the far right the Market Place entrance to the Quadrant Arcade.3
