The following is the text of a stone commemorating the building of St. Edward's C of E Primary school, Havering Drive:1

THIS STONE WAS LAID ON
ST. EDWARD'S DAY : 13 OCTOBER 1975

The stone is built into the wall to the left of the entrance to the school foyer.   In the foyer there is a plaque commemorating the opening of the school a year later.
