The car park to the north and east of the school would, in a few years, become the site of the Dolphin Centre, whilst the site of the school would later be occupied by the Liberty 2 shopping centre.

Looking at the rest of the view, beyond the car park is Romford Baptist church, and opposite that, on the far side of Main Road, is Coronation Gardens, with the war memorial standing in the centre.

Just below Coronation Gardens is the entrance to the Town Hall, whilst on the other side, further up Main Road, are the Magistrates' Court and the police station.
