The figures once stood in niches at the first-floor level of the old Charity School building in Market Place.2  They now stand in the entrance foyer of St. Edward's C. of E. Primary school, either side of a stone commemorating the opening of the old school.

Viewed from this level they perhaps appear to be a little top-heavy!   However, remember that they once stood at first-floor level, and when viewed from below this they would assume the correct proportions.
