A full report of the match appeared in the Romford Times,1 and is summarised below:
The final was played on Easter Monday afternoon [28th March 1921], on the Great Eastern Railway Athletic Association's ground, Romford.
The teams were Records United (Brentwood) and Romford Central. The match was witnessed by a big holiday crowd. A special train brought an army of supporters of the Brentwood team. Good play was not witnessed, Records United showing the better form and eventually coming out winners by three goals to one.
After the match the cup and medals were presented to the winners by Mrs. Martin, wife of Capt. A. E. Martin, M.P. for the Romford Division.
The match ball, which was presented by West Ham United F.C., was sold by auction for 7s. 6d.
