In 1949 Romford F. C. reached the Final of the Football Association Amateur Cup Competition.1  This was the first ever Amateur Cup Final to be played at Wembley.  Their opponents were Bromley, who unfortunately for Romford won the tie 1-0.

The Cup Final programme included a team photograph, pen pictures of the players, and a history of the club to date.
