Wartime | WW1 | Old Contemptibles Association
The Old Contemptibles were the veterans of the British Expeditionary Force sent to France in 1914, so named because of a German reference to the contemptible little army facing them.1
The Romford branch of the Old Contemptibles Association was formed in 1927.
